A Michelin-recognized modern dim sum restaurant in BGC built around one simple belief: great food doesn't have to be precious about it.
Hăo was built by the team behind Fable Café — a group that had already proved they knew how to make a space where people actually want to spend time. When they turned their attention to Chinese food, they asked the same question they always ask: what does this look like if you do it really well, without overthinking it?
The answer was Hăo. Modern dim sum at Unit 120 Forbeswood Heights in Forbes Town, BGC. The exterior is graffiti. The interior is deliberate. The Xiao Long Bao is the kind that makes tables go quiet when it arrives.
The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition came naturally — not because anyone was chasing it, but because that's what happens when you get the fundamentals right and stop trying to impress people you've never met.
Modern takes on the classics. Xiao Long Bao with real broth. Siomai that doesn't apologize for itself. Prawn Toast that's the first thing to disappear from the table. This is the foundation everything else is built on.
Cocktails designed to go with food, not compete with it. And Huai — the bar upstairs — which has a completely different energy and stays open until 2AM. Two concepts, one address.
Forbes Town is one of the best neighborhoods in BGC for a reason — it's actually walkable, has character, and doesn't feel like a strip mall. We're exactly where we're supposed to be.
Everything else — ambiance, concept, branding — is secondary to what's on the plate. Michelin didn't find us because of our Instagram. They found us because of the Xiao Long Bao.
We take dim sum seriously. The "modern" in our name means we approach it with intention and a few new ideas — not that we've abandoned what makes it worth eating in the first place.
Graffiti outside. Considered inside. We want you to have a strong sense of place when you walk in, not a generic restaurant experience you'll forget by Tuesday.
We open at 11AM and mean it. Dim sum for lunch is a tradition worth honoring. The Iberico Ribs for dinner hit differently, but that's not a reason to ignore either.
Huai (@huai_ph) is not an afterthought. It's a complete bar with its own menu and vibe. You can come for dim sum and stay until 2AM — or go straight upstairs. Both are valid.
Before Hăo, the same team built Fable Café — a space that showed you can run a concept that's genuinely good and genuinely approachable at the same time. That's the DNA.
Unit 120 Forbeswood Heights on Rizal Drive. A graffiti exterior that signals this is not a typical BGC restaurant. Dim sum from day one.
The Michelin Bib Gourmand listing put Hăo on the map internationally — recognizing exceptional food at accessible prices. We didn't chase it. The food earned it.
The bar concept above Hăo — a completely different space and energy, with the same standards for what goes in a glass. Open until 2AM Monday through Saturday.
Open daily from 11AM. Reservations via WhatsApp. Walk-ins welcome when space is available.
